Responsible Gambling Code of Practice Industry Training Kit

The Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice Industry Training Kit  (Training Kit) was launched by the Honourable Anna Bligh MP, Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Infrastructure on 8 December 2005.

The Training Kit complements the Queensland Responsible Gambling Training Framework (the Framework) for Industry which was launched in May 2003 by the former Treasurer.  The Framework provides the criteria for the development and implementation of formal responsible gambling training programs.  The Framework was developed to support responsible service of gambling courses and aligns with the National Competency Standard "THHADG03B Provide Responsible Gambling Services".

The Responsible Gambling Code of Practice Industry Training Kit contains a self paced work book and a DVD featuring scenarios on how to effectively implement some practices. Copies of the self-paced workbook and DVD can be purchased from Convenience Advertising (07) 3800 9611.

Formal responsible service of gaming training courses are provided by a number of organisations. For further information contact your industry peak body or local TAFE college.
