Advertising & Promotions Guideline
The Queensland Responsible Gambling Advertising and Promotions Guideline and the Queensland Responsible Gambling Guidelines for Player Loyalty Programs have been developed to support the gambling industry to implement Practice 6 - "Advertising and Promotions" of the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice.
This section of the Code of Practice requires gambling providers to develop and implement strategies to ensure advertising and promotions are delivered in a responsible manner with consideration given to the potential impact on people adversely affected by gambling.
The Guidelines apply to advertising and promotions in all sectors of gambling in Queensland and are to be used in conjunction with all other regulatory requirements for the conduct of gambling in Queensland.
How to use the Advertising and Promotions and the Player Loyalty Programs Guidelines
Both Guidelines have been developed in conjunction with industry representatives to ensure their user friendliness and relevance to gambling providers.
The first pages of both Guidelines contain general information about the practices referred to in Practice 6 - "Advertising and Promotions" of the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice.
Although the Guidelines provide "acceptable and unacceptable" examples for specific industry groups, industry groups will find the examples across the different industry sectors a useful guide when developing marketing and promotional material for your venue/organisation and assist sectors in gaining a wider perspective on the practices.

| The Queensland Responsible Gambling Guidelines for Player Loyalty Programs have been developed as an addendum to the Queensland Responsible Gambling Advertising and Promotions Guideline to further assist venues in implementing Practice 6 - "Advertising and Promotions" of the the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice. The Guidelines for Player Loyalty Programs outline "acceptable" and "unacceptable" practices for the specific aspects and functions of Player Loyalty Programs. | ||||
