Why are we here?

To contribute to the Government’s vision for gambling in Queensland through best practice grants programme and evidence based policy development.

What do we do?

Manage a gambling research program and Queensland’s participation in the national research program.
Develop policy options based on research findings.
Analyse, manage and report on gambling-related information and data.
Provide strategic direction setting and management of the Queensland Responsible Gambling Strategy including:
- the gambling help system
- school based education
- community education and awareness.
Provide policy advice in relation to responsible gambling, economics of gambling and social determinants.
Manage, monitor and develop the Responsible Gambling Code of Practice.
Develop, monitor and improve a broad based community education and awareness program.
